Jason Noakes
Best Man
Jason is Brian’s older, wiser brother. Jason, being eight years older, had quite the advantage over his little brother- sometimes dunking Brian's head in the toilet bowl and flushing in a ritual known as the swirley. Even with this on Jason's score card, Brian always looked up to him, taking after him in many ways. Jason was the one to really get Brian interested in running and eventually introduced him to hashing (a running-beer drinking group) when he was older. Jason has a family-married to Lisa and father of two of our favorite nephews, Connor Blake.
Jen Shaughnessy

Jen is Steph's older and far wiser sister who Steph has looked up to her whole life and who very dear to her heart! Jen been a great role model, dished great advice & encouragement and supported Steph's decisions whether good or bad. She is a wife, mother of two (two of the best kiddos- no bias here!), and a teacher. She is a Reading Specialist at Hixon Middle School.

Joanna Dean

Joanna and Steph met in high school, and upon learning they would both be attending University of Dayton, soon became inseparable. Joanna is a great friend who Steph can entrust to give sound advice and support while always giving more of herself without being asked. She is a social worker for First Steps at Seven Countries Services Inc. in Louisville, KY, and a certified yoga instructor. Joanna also recently became engaged herself.

Mike is one of Brian’s step-brothers. Mike lives on the other coast in Charlotte, NC with his family. He is married to Crystal and has two children-my other favorite niece and nephew, Caroline and Lucas. Mike works for Nova-Nordis, a company that specializes in diabetes treatment.
Marleen Kindel

Marleen is one of Steph's closest friends from college. Marleen is a great friend with whom Steph has indulged in many shenanigans with during college and since. From the epic beer miles, to crazy memories including a pair of jort-overalls found in Daytona, Marleen & Steph always seem to find an adventure. Marleen is an attorney at Faruki, Ireland, & Cox in Cincinnati, and also recently married

Bryan is one of Brian’s step-brothers. Having two Br(i/y)ans in the family makes for interesting family gatherings; not knowing which one of them is being called. But they manage to keep it together. Just so everyone knows, Bryans (with a “Y”) know how to have fun -not to say that Brians (with an “I”) don’t- but Bryan is an expert when it comes to having a good time. Bryan works for Sony in LA, directing the development of media promotion for Sony Pictures.
Jenna Krueger

Jenna and Steph met while working as day camp counselors back in 2006, and have been great friends ever since. Whether it be during a long run, walk, swim or game night, Jenna and Steph seem to never have enough time fit in their long talks, which Steph has come to rely heavily upon. Jenna is a third grade teacher at Beasley Elementary.

Scott Smith

Scott has been a friend of Brian’s since high school. They first met going through the ropes of band camp. Yes, it was one of those times at band camp… When they found at that they were both going to Mizzou, they became best friends- playing Super Smash Brothers on N64 and enjoying all of the fun the college life had to offer. Since their undergrad years, Scott recently graduated from Mizzou’s Law School and has started working for the Teacher’s Union in Columbia, Mo.
Meghan Noakes

Meghan is Brian's sister. Meghan is a hair stylist at St. Louis Salon and Spa and the proud momma of Lucy, the lovable collie/shepard mix. Meghan has welcomed Steph into the family from day one. From the legendary 12 hour car ride they shared with Brian early-on in our relationship, Steph knew Meghan and her would form a very tight bond.

Zach is Steph’s older brother. Zach lives in Milan, Italy with his wife Megan. Zach plays lacrosse in Italy. Steph has always looked up to her older brother who always has the ability to make her laugh.
Harper Zielonko

Harper is Steph's cousin, with whom she have always shared a special connection. They have always seemed to share similar interests. Steph can't wait when we are able to quit our day jobs and start our own non-profit together. Harper is the Program Development Specialist at Great Circle, a behavioral health organization that provides a wide range of services

Alek Seers

Alek has been a good friend of Brian’s since middle school. They both met through mutual friends but never actually went to the same school. Alek actually attended Lindbergh High, but nonetheless these two would hang out after school and on weekends throughout most of middle school and high school; most of the time being troublemakers. Alek also worked at the Missouri Athletic Club, working in the kitchen with Brian as dishwashers. Alek has always been driven to be in the emergency responder field. Today, Alek is a Medic working in the Potosi County area.
Amy Polokonis

Amy is Steph's dear friend from high school. From the first day of advisement, Steph thought Amy was so fun, and made sure that they would be friends. Amy and her husband have a wonderful little boy Willie, and recently welcomed their lovely daughter Isla into their family. Amy is a Teacher Assistant for Affton Early Childhood Center.

Todd Terryll

Todd has been one of Brian’s oldest friends. They met in 5th grade at Carman Trails Elementary being in the same classroom. Todd always claimed that Brian was the odd one, sniffing the rubber cement after being warned not to do such things- but there are two sides to every story. Todd and Brian remained inseparable throughout middle school and high school. It probably was not wise of the teachers to keep these two in same classroom all those years. They both worked together at the Missouri Athletic Club for several years between 2004 and 2011. Todd has always been interested in building and breaking down cars. He is an excellent mechanic and always works on Brian’s car and any other friends’ cars when needed. Todd is also an accountant as well as a Black Belt- he has been a karate instructor for several years now.
Colleen Roberts
Bridesmaid
Colleen is Steph's oldest friend. They became great friends in first grade. Although she lives in Independence, MO now and they don't get to see each other often enough, when we do reconnect it's as if no time has passed. Colleen is a civil engineer at Bartlett & West. Colleen and her husband welcomed their beautiful daughter, Louise, this past Fall.

Matt Rose

Matt and Brian have been friends since freshmen year at Mizzou in 2006. They became friends through Scott, having lunches in between classes. College life for these two consisted of playing Super Smash, partying and morning work out routines. For a period of time, they would get up at the crack of dawn to do sprints (100, 200, and 400M). Matt was far better at sprints than Brian (who would usually develop a sickness shortly after) but not the long-distance. Matt currently lives in St. Louis and is married to Laura Rose. Matt is also a Supply chain manager for Boeing out in St. Louis.
